The Nàdurra drinks trolley for The Glenlivet
We have recently developed a taste for fine single malt. The reason? Our collaboration with the original single malt distillery, The Glenlivet.
We are delighted to have been selected to design and make a piece of furniture which helped celebrate the spirit of their Nàdurra expressions, which means ‘natural’ in Gaelic.
We visited their distillery in Scotland, learned about the brand, the product and their values which reflect a number of our own, and inspired by the traditional malt barrow, we decided we would design a fine drinks trolley and serving tray.
As we learnt about the ritual of enjoying single malts and dedicated time to understanding the ingredients The Glenlivet work with, we decided our piece should heighten the pleasure and performance of 'the serve’.
We designed and made a trolley with very visible construction so people can see how it’s made and to really express the craftsmanship. In our own work as well as in the Nàdurra. We used retired staves from The Glenlivet casks and meaningfully selected species of wood to create the body of the trolley and large woven wheels.
