Summer in our woodland

We manage our own woodland, Broome Wood, in Kent for wood and the benefit of biodiversity. The woodland in summer becomes dense and verdant; almost dark in places. The leaf canopy thickens and the understory rises. The stools we coppiced continue to grow vigorously, thrusting upwards to the light with young, straight, nimble rods of hazel.
