Sebastian Cox exhibits with RISING TALENT AWARDS at MAISON&OBJET
Sebastian Cox will showcase new pieces at MAISON&OBJET 2017 as part of the RISING TALENT AWARDS in Paris from 20 - 24 January.
We have been nominated to participate in the award by Jay Osgerby, half of internationally acclaimed design studio, BarberOsgerby, who wanted to put our radical-meets-traditional approach “under the limelight”.
Alongside the Bayleaf sideboard (above), we will present a delicately intricate new console table, topped with cleft English chestnut shakes, and a new tall elm cabinet, featuring multiple curved sliding doors, made entirely from woven English ash.
These pieces celebrate the beauty and variety of British timber species as well as our unique expertise in working wood, with both ancient and digital tools.
Our fellow nominees, also exhibiting as part of the RISING TALENT AWARDS, are Marcin Rusak, John Booth, Giles Miller, Studio SWINE and Zuza Mengham, as nominated by Sir Paul Smith, Tom Dixon, Ilse Crawford, Nigel Coates and Ross Lovegrove.
