Sebastian Cox Presents new work at Maison et Objet
Maison et Objet, the premier event celebrating design and creativity, is where Sebastian Cox will present an exhibition of new work from the Sebastian Cox studio and workshop. We have been granted carte blanche to create a space that embodies our distinctive aesthetic. The presentation will be located in the prestigious Designers Studio in Hall 7 alongside esteemed designers Faye Toogood, Dirk Vander Kooij, and Masquespacio.
Each piece is expertly made to show the beauty of natural materials and traditional techniques.
Central to the exhibit is the Quartered Co-working Table, a sustainable masterpiece that exemplifies Sebastian's innovative approach to furniture design. Crafted from English-grown ash tree branches, each leg of the table a quarter of a branch, ingeniously milled to create a functional yet beautiful piece of furniture.
In addition to the Quartered Table, Sebastian will present a collection of new pieces that each celebrate the process of making. The Cleft Sideboard, clad with hand-split shakes of English-grown chestnut, pays homage to traditional woodworking techniques, while the Kerf Armchairs showcase expertly machined wood that bends and curves with elegant precision.
We will also present the Bayleaf Mirror, where hand-woven wood creates a deep border around the looking glass, blending form and function seamlessly.
Maison et Objet attendees are invited to explore the space in Hall 7, where they can experience elegance and craftsmanship. From sustainable furniture pieces to innovative creations that challenge traditional notions of design, oure presentation promises to inspire and captivate visitors from around the world.
