Sebastian Cox Introduces the Quartered Table: where milling meets making

We're pleased to present the Quartered Table. Combining bold means of making and a deep reverence for nature, the Quartered Table represents a confident step towards truly sustainable if not regenerative co-working spaces.

Designed and made by Sebastian himself, the Quartered Table showcases his expert understanding of native woodlands and his keen eye for design. Each leg of the table is quarter of an English-grown ash tree branch, a resource that would typically be overlooked in traditional woodworking processes.

"Inspired by the beauty and resilience of our native woodlands, the Quartered Table embodies a commitment to sustainability and innovation," said Sebastian. "By utilizing every part of the tree, including branches too small for conventional furniture-making, we're able to create functional pieces that celebrate the inherent beauty of wood while encouraging woodland management."

Made in Sebastian's woodyard and workshop, the Quartered Table is brought to life using a band mill and Sebastian's highly skilled team of makers. Every aspect of production is carefully managed to ensure minimal environmental impact, from sourcing materials to the manufacturing process itself.

"We believe in a holistic approach to sustainability, where craftsmanship and environmental responsibility go hand in hand," added Cox. "The Quartered Table is a testament to our dedication to creating furniture that not only enhances spaces but also contributes positively to the planet."

The Quartered Table will make its debut at Clerkenwell Design Week, offering attendees a firsthand look at its biophilic design and regenerative ethos. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the table's unique blend of functionality and aesthetics, as well as learn more about Sebastian Cox's commitment to sustainable design practices.

With the Quartered Table, Sebastian Cox reaffirms his status as a pioneer in sustainable furniture design, offering a glimpse into a future where beauty, functionality, and sustainability seamlessly coexist.
